General Health Panel
Your complete at-home health check-up
Think of this as your annual physical, reimagined. The General Health Panel gives you a comprehensive picture of your wellness,
testing cholesterol, triglycerides, thyroid hormones, blood sugar (HbA1c, glucose), and liver/kidney health.
Perfect for tracking lifestyle changes, monitoring family health risks, or simply staying proactive.
This panel provides a broad view of your metabolic and organ health, measuring cholesterol and lipids (total, LDL, HDL, triglycerides), blood sugar markers (HbA1c and fasting glucose), thyroid hormones (TSH, Free T3, Free T4), and liver and kidney function markers (ALT, AST, creatinine, eGFR).
Together, these biomarkers cover the core systems your body relies on to manage energy, clear waste, and regulate hormonal signals — providing a more comprehensive baseline than standard annual screening alone.

- You want to monitor cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid, liver, and kidney function from home (WebMD CMP; Johns Hopkins Blood Chemistry Panel — these markers form the standard Comprehensive Metabolic Panel in routine clinical care.)
- You have a family history of heart disease, diabetes, or thyroid conditions (ACC/AHA 2019 Primary Prevention Guideline; ADA Standards of Care 2024.)
- You experience unexplained fatigue, weight changes, or changes in energy levels (UAB Medicine 2026; Medical News Today — recognized indicators of thyroid dysfunction and blood sugar dysregulation.)
- You are making lifestyle changes — diet, exercise, or supplementation — and want to track the impact (ADA Standards of Care 2024; ACC/AHA Lipid Guideline 2026.)
- It has been more than a year since your last comprehensive blood work (Levels Health 2026; primary care guidelines — annual testing is standard for healthy adults with no chronic conditions.)

Who benefits most from this panel?
- Adults seeking a broad wellness baseline for the first time
- Busy professionals who want answers without clinic appointments
- Anyone tracking the impact of training, nutrition, or risk-factor management
- People with a family history of heart disease, diabetes, or thyroid conditions
Is this a diagnostic test?
No. This is a laboratory screening panel intended for education and wellness. Boomerang Laboratories does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before making any medical decisions based on your results.
Do I need to fast before collecting?
Yes — for best comparability with clinical reference ranges, fast for 12 hours before collection (water only). This is especially important for lipids and glucose markers.
Collect first thing in the morning before breakfast or coffee for the most accurate and repeatable results.
How do I collect my sample?
At-home finger-prick dried blood spot (DBS) using the included lancets and collection card. Collection takes approximately 10–15 minutes, plus 60 minutes drying time before mailing.
- Wash and warm your hands for better flow
- Clean fingertip with the alcohol wipe; press the lancet firmly to the side of a fingertip
- Apply 4–5 large blood drops, one per circle on the collection card
- Lay flat and air dry for a full 60 minutes before packaging
- Seal in the specimen bag, place in prepaid mailer, drop at any USPS mailbox
How do I return my sample?
Use the pre-addressed, pre-paid USPS return mailer included in your kit. Drop it at any postal location the same day you collect — after the card is fully dry. No postage or post office visit needed.
What if my sample can't be processed?
If we can't process your sample — for example, if the card was under-filled or insufficient — we'll notify you promptly and send a complimentary replacement kit at no charge.
How long until I see results?
Typically within 24–48 hours after our laboratory receives your sample. You'll get a secure notification to view results in the Boomerang Kits App as soon as they're ready.
Where do I see my results?
Your results, plain-English explanations, and trend tracking all live in the Boomerang Kits App with your secure login. You can also download a clinician-ready PDF to share with your doctor in one tap.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your results are encrypted, HIPAA-compliant, and visible only to you unless you choose to share. We protect your data with strict administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. We never sell your information to third parties or advertisers.
How often should I test?
Most users repeat every 3–6 months to trend improvements and catch changes early. Cadence varies based on your goals and clinician guidance. After a significant diet, medication, or lifestyle change, retesting after 8–12 weeks measures its impact objectively.
Is this covered by insurance?
Boomerang Kits are consumer-initiated and not typically billed to insurance. You may use HSA/FSA funds where eligible — use your HSA/FSA card at checkout. Check with your insurance provider to confirm reimbursement eligibility for at-home lab testing.
